red-pink: &lt;em&gt;Callirhoe involucrata&lt;/em&gt;, poppy mallow
light-blue (mid-ground of photo): &lt;em&gt;Linum perenne&lt;/em&gt;, perennial flax
The rock garden is &quot;mulched&quot; with pea gravel.
